Palimpsest gGmbH is a young non-profit agency for civil society and culture, based in Berlin, Germany.
Palimpsest’s mission is to promote social change and mutual understanding through creative, artistic and cross-cutting approaches. Our name refers to a manuscript page that has been scraped off and used again - a metaphor for the creative process, ingenuity and sustainability.
Palimpsest brings together diverse communities to engage in dialogue and collaborative projects. It supports emerging artists and cultural practitioners, initiatives and and partners from other sectors, including human rights, historical memory, gender equality and climate justice.
